Briefly: the app collects nothing about you, and this page collects only what you type into the form yourself.

The app

We collect no data. SilentBox has no analytics, no third-party library and one single way out — into your own private iCloud database, and only when you turn syncing on yourself. It is off by default.

What goes up is the same encrypted block that sits on disk. We do not have the key, so neither we nor Apple can read the content. The server does see the number of objects, their sizes and when they changed — not the content, names or albums. It is written here because claiming “the server knows nothing” would not be true.

The app logs diagnostics around biometrics and syncing. Only a developer with the device attached can see them; nothing is sent anywhere.

This page

No analytics, no cookies, nothing loaded from other servers. When you send the form, only what you typed is processed: your e-mail address and the message.

A submitted form is received by Netlify, the same provider that serves this page. I use the address to reply and for nothing else — it is not passed on and not added to any mailing list. Ask and it is deleted.

TestFlight

The beta runs through TestFlight, which means through Apple. What Apple knows about testers follows its rules, not mine; what reaches me is the tester's e-mail address and crash reports.
