Choose Which Albums Sync

Send the whole vault to iCloud, or only the albums you pick. An album you leave out stays on the device that has it.

  1. At the top of the album list, tap Settings (if you don't see it, tap … first).
  2. Under iCloud, with Sync with iCloud on, set What goes to iCloud to Selected albums or Everything.
  3. With Selected albums, go back to the album list, touch and hold an album, and tap iCloud.
  4. To take an album out of iCloud, touch and hold it, tap Stop Syncing, then tap Stop Syncing again to confirm.

You can also swipe left on an album and tap the cloud button.

The choice belongs to the vault, not to this iPhoneiPad: What goes to iCloud and each album's setting are the same on all your devices.

With Selected albums, each album in the list shows a cloud: filled with a checkmark when everything in it is in iCloud, an outline while some items are still waiting to upload, and crossed out when the album stays on this iPhoneiPad. What each mark means is in Keep items only in iCloud.

NoteWhen an album stops syncing, it's removed from iCloud. This iPhoneiPad keeps all its items, but your other devices keep only what they've already downloaded. If some of its items are only in iCloud, SilentBox downloads them first — see Keep items only in iCloud.
NoteSwitching from Everything to Selected albums doesn't turn any album on. Albums don't sync until you turn them on, so turn on the ones you want right after you switch.
