Create Your Vault

Choose the password that encrypts everything, then write down the recovery phrase that is your only way back in.

1. Open SilentBox. The first time, a short introduction explains how the vault works. Tap Continue to read on and Get Started at the end, or tap Skip.
2. Enter a password of at least 8 characters, then enter it again under Confirm password.
3. Tap Create Vault.
4. Write down the 12 words of your recovery phrase, in their numbered order.
5. Turn on the switch that confirms you've written the phrase down and stored it away from this device, then tap Continue to the Vault.
6. When SilentBox offers Face ID or Touch ID, tap Turn On to open the vault without typing your password, or Not Now to decide later.

SilentBox may then ask to access Photos. You can answer Not Now and allow it later in Settings.
