Set Up a PIN
Open the vault on this device with four digits instead of typing your password.
- At the top of the album list, tap Settings (if you don't see it, tap … first).
- Under Security, tap Set Up a PIN.
- Enter your vault password and tap Continue.
- Type four digits. The PIN is saved as soon as you enter the last one.
From now on, the lock screen shows Enter your PIN. If Face ID or Touch ID is on, SilentBox asks for it first. To type your password instead, tap Use Password Instead.
TipSilentBox doesn't ask for the PIN twice when you set it up, so choose four digits you'll remember.
NoteThe PIN opens the vault only on this iPhoneiPad. You still need your password on your other devices, or if you replace this one. The PIN doesn't replace your password.
After each wrong PIN, you wait a little longer before the next try. After 10 wrong PINs, SilentBox turns the PIN off and the vault opens with your password. With Two-Step Unlock on, the PIN stays on instead.
Turn off the PIN
In Settings, under Security, tap Turn Off PIN. Two-Step Unlock turns off with it.
