The Trash
Empty the Trash
Delete items for good before their 30 days are up — to free space, or to be sure they're gone.
- In the album list, tap Trash at the top. If you don't see it, tap … at the top right.
- Tap Empty Trash (the red trash icon at the top).
- Tap Empty Trash to confirm.
Delete Only Some Items
- In the Trash, tap Select, then tap each item.
- Tap Delete Forever (the red trash icon at the top), then Delete Forever again to confirm.
You can also touch and hold one item and tap Delete Forever, then Delete Forever again to confirm.
NoteItems deleted for good can't be brought back — not even with your recovery phrase. If you use iCloud, they also disappear from your other devices when they sync.
NoteItems from a locked album don't show in the Trash while the album is locked, and Empty Trash leaves them there. Unlock the album to see or delete them.
NoteYou don't have to empty the Trash yourself. After 30 days, SilentBox deletes an item for good the next time you unlock the vault; with iCloud on, it waits for the first sync after unlocking.
