Export and Back Up
Export an Encrypted Archive
Put the items you choose into one encrypted file with its own password, safe to keep anywhere.
- Open the album you want to export from.
- To export only some items, tap Select and tap the items you want. Otherwise, everything the album shows goes into the archive.
- Tap More (the three dots at the bottom right).
- Under Export All or Export Selected, tap .sbxarchive.
- If some items are only in iCloud, choose Download and Export to include them, or Export Downloaded Only.
- Choose a password for the archive, at least 8 characters, enter it twice and tap Create Archive.
- When Exporting finishes, choose where to save the archive.
The archive keeps each item's album, its date, and what you added to it, such as an expiry date or Favorite. When you restore it, items go back where they were.
NoteThe archive uses its own password, separate from your vault password. If you forget it, no one can recover it and the archive can't be opened. Open the archive with SilentBox on iPhone or iPad, or with the sbxarchive utility on a Mac.
TipTo put every album into one archive at once, including locked albums, use Back Up the Whole Vault.
NoteThe encrypted archive is part of the Full Version and isn't included in the trial. Exporting plain files is free.
